Our creative, life-centred, climate-responsive, energy efficient, ecologically aware design approach aims at projects that suit unique clients, sites and environments.  On any project type, “from the door knobs to the horizon” – we provide architecture incorporating place-making principles ofconservation, local Pattern Languages, Permaculture, Cradle to Cradle, site and environmental repair, in complete services from environmental and climate analysis, through design, planning, documentation, approvals, detailing and interiors, materials, fixtures, fittings and finishes selections, with landscape design.
We seek to help you achieve your project goals and enjoy the whole adventure of building, from feasibility, through design, to construction, and/or helping you to owner-build.  Creating and renewing your house is life giving.  Consider it an investment in yourself, our shared environment and common future!
Architect Gérard Siero is an Australian Institute of Architects (AIA) A+ Practice member, an Archicentre Accredited Architect, and a registered architect under the WA Architects Act.  The practice works to the professional standards, ethics codes and Client and Architect Agreements of the AIA.
Architects' fees can be a percentage of the project cost or lump sum.  To suit your budget and level of personal involvement, we can discuss your needs and tailor an individual service that fits in with your special requirements and unique project, providing you with value in a design that addresses your aspirations for your life.
To complete the vision, we offer services in ecology and environmental planning, water features and landscape design and interiors.  We work to create an ecologically sustainable future for our planet through environmentally responsive design and specification.  Passive solar/design for climate is a given.
Investing in architecture is an investment in you.  Architecture suited to local climate and ecology provides enhanced quality of life, higher re-sale value with reduced life-cycle costs and environmental impacts as bonuses!  Design totals around 0.3 to 1% of overall costs over the life of a building, so skimping on design fees is false economy.
Cost variables in building =
·  quality of materials, labour, craftsmanship,
·  size of building,
·  time for project to be completed
·  availability of work, how busy the builders are,
·  familiarity with various forms of construction,
·  local factors: site characteristics and access, availability of materials, special features, availability and
·  cost of credit
·  the economy, (demand fluctuations) etc.
Presently, labour accounts for 60-75%, so avoid cheap materials.  Between Builders, tender prices regularly vary +/- 30% or more.
Our fees are in line with the national average. Collaboration with builders and consultants, from preliminary concept on, right through design development and detailing to suit preferred systems, helps enhance quality and value.  Tender and construction documents allow more reliable price comparison and more control of the construction.
Through conversation, study and invention, environmentally responsive architecture and landscape design, using thoughtful, basic construction methods, materials and finishes, and collaboration with like-minded builders and tradespeople, this AIA A+ Practice strives for a pleasing, functional and cost-effective solution to your project brief.
